“JESUS
KNOWS YOUR WORTH”
EVANGELIZING THE COMMUNITY OF WORTH
In every community there is a place you see,
pass by, even make a glance toward and for years go on noticing it there, but not sure what roll this place plays. Well, Worth
has one of those shining stars, St. Mark Lutheran Church. I was invited there a little more than two years ago. Now I find
myself returning every Sunday for services. What I have found at St. Mark is a family of people who really care, go the distance
and always put others first ahead of them-selves.
Times are bad and people don’t know what to do or were to go. They are losing their homes, jobs, and
are left alone sick, cold, hungry and just plan afraid.
St. Mark has started an outreach program to reach the people in the Village of Worth. They hope one day to extend this act
of kindness to other communities.
Fourteen members of St Mark have begun to walk door to door to extend a hand of hope and faith. They have knocked
on a least 1,000 doors now and have many more to go. The walkers have met with great people and were asked to pray with many
of those they have talked to, bringing a glimmer of hope to those in need.
So, if you are able to receive one of the knocks on the door, remember they are people meant
for you. Open the door and it will change your life, warm your heart and show you that there are people who care.
All through Gods amazing grace.
